MedTech Actuator’s longest running early-stage innovation challenge has finally landed in Singapore!
Launching in Singapore in 2024, Origin is an intensive venture builder program that has over the last 10 years developed the entrepreneurial capabilities of over 2,500 clinicians, researchers, engineers, scientists, students, and inventors, and supported the creation of 120 startups – including a unicorn – that have gone on to raise more than A$750m (approximately SG$670m) of capital.
Origin fosters collaboration, inclusion, and input through creating dedicated channels for diverse participation, leveraging invaluable clinician insights, research technology and entrepreneurial business leaders.

Participant Profile and Eligibility
ANYONE with a healthtech innovation idea, napkin sketch drawing, or early-stage health technology startup can apply.
Health technology startup or idea means an innovative idea or early-stage startup or research project including tech products, services or platforms related to healthcare, life science, or medical technologies.
This includes individuals, teams or early-stage startups that hold a patent registered with an approved national IP institution; OR that have and ongoing research project; OR a napkin sketch of their idea.
