Mukesh Haikerwal AC is a General Medical Practitioner and formerly the 19th president of the Australian Medical Association. He was made a Companion (AC) of the Order of Australia for eminent service to medicine having previously been awarded the Order of Australia for distinguished service to medicine and has worked for the Prime Minister of Australia on the National Health and Hospital Reform Commission – formulating a future vision for Australia’s health. Mukesh is a professorial fellow at Flinders University Adelaide and has held board positions on Cancer Victoria, Beyond Blue and Brain Injury Australia.
