Overview

Access Japan's health innovation ecosystem

The Global Pitch Showdown invites high-potential health startups from around the world to explore market opportunities, build strategic connections, and gain visibility on an international stage.

Four selected international finalists will pitch live in Osaka to investors, corporates, partners, and global health ecosystem leaders. Startups will also take part in a curated immersion experience designed to deepen Japan market understanding and support meaningful ecosystem engagement.

This is an opportunity to test market interest, develop relationships, and explore pathways for growth in one of Asia's leading biomedical innovation corridors.

Eligibility

Who should apply

The International Entry pathway is for startups based outside Japan. We are looking for founders building bold innovations in MedTech, BioTech and HealthTech.

Applicants should be:

  • Based outside Japan

  • Seed to Series B stage

  • An incorporated company

  • Developing a scalable health innovation

  • Ready to pitch to an international audience

  • Interested in Japan as a growth, partnership, investment, or market-entry opportunity
