What is the Global Pitch Showdown
Organised by the MedTech Actuator - Asia Pacific’s Health Venture Catalyst - the Global Pitch Showdown will bring the world's boldest healthtech startups to pitch live at the MedTech Actuator Showcase in Osaka, Japan in September 2025, with one winner taking home first prize of JP¥5,000,000 (~US$35,000) presented by OCCI.
Coinciding with Global Startup Expo 2025, finalists will also participate in a 3-day immersion connecting into the Kansai biomedical innovation corridor.

Paths to enter
The MedTech Actuator: Global Pitch Showdown has two curated entry streams — a domestic stream for Japan based startups, and an international stream for startups based outside of Japan. Each stream leads to the same destination: pitching live in Osaka at the MedTech Actuator Showcase.
